Tart Cherry Gummies
This has to be one of my favorite things to make. It’s so easy and everyone in the house loves them. My 3-year-old even likes to help put them together. I like to keep these around when I’m in need of a better night’s sleep.
Tart Cherries are rich in naturally occurring melatonin and tryptophan (enhances melatonin synthesis and reduces inflammation) so basically a match made in heaven. We pair them up with gelatin that is rich in glycine to promote a deeper, more restful sleep - plus they taste really good.
What you’ll need:
1 cup tart cherry juice
3 TBS Gelatin (I prefer Great Lakes)
2 TBS Honey
Directions:
Heat 1 cup of juice just before boiling on the stove
Mix in your 3 TBS gelatin. Whisk quickly to avoid clumps
Add your 2 TBS honey (or however much you’d like)
Mix thoroughly and put into your preferred molds (I love these ones!)
Let chill in the refrigerator for about an hour and enjoy!
That’s it. That’s the whole situation. Keep these in the fridge until you’re ready to eat them or they get a little melty. Theres also so many fun ways you can make these.
Try subbing 1/4 cup of lime juice into 3/4 cherry for a cherry lime treat.
You can also add things like creatine or additional magnesium for even more benefits!
